It looks like something but it really isn't. Russia has already encountered all these weapons and they have been using them against Russia in a "deep strike" capacity. That is another thing, they aint particularly "deep" because the weapons need to be launched close to the Russian border to "get in deep." That runs the risk of being spotted or shot down. Putin will roll with it until Trump. Then it's over but expect a terrible retribution on Ukraine.
Just to reinforce your point the recent storm shadow strikes were merely 30 km inside Russia. This indicated that the aircraft that launched the strikes were way inside the Ukraine borders long way away from the Russian border. This is possibly because of the fear of these limited aircraft being targeted by Russian AD. The war on the western side has been from the start a battle for narrative creation to shape public perception.
Any destructive escalation should only be on The USA,UNITED KINGDOM,FRANCE. Maybe Germany. Let their CIVILIANS pay the Price. The other NATO NATIONS SHOULD STAY OUT OF IT. It’s funny how POLITICIANS AND MILITARY GENERALS LOVE TO SEND INNOCENT CIVILIANS TO THEIR DEATH.
Of course I am for peace in the first place, I was just asking out of curiosity ... Some countries, or rather governments, like to bow to something only as long as it supports them. When Germany weakened, Poland immediately became active regarding reparations. For example, Japan could finally breathe a sigh of relief from the power of America.
Nobody believes Russia will use them against them. And - these Leaders could give two shits if Russia kills their people cause these Leaders - hate their people and care - nothing for them. Russia has to hit these Leaders and their Neocons - that what a hypersonic should be used for !
So now Paris, along with London and Washington DC are targets for Russian Oreshniks and ICBMs. But it's not the ICBM that should scare you - it's the payload in the warhead that will do the damage!
My guts feeling is that the expected retaliation hit is more likely to be inside Ukraine.
However, the MIRV attack on the city of Dnipropetrovsk is different not only in it symbolizes a quality change in Russia's retaliation, but also probably the first time since 2014 Russia retaliated not using a similar weapon as provoked, not quite proportional to provocation (at least the potential of a full strength MIRV attack is far stronger), but also can be viewed as outright escalation. Before this point, it is always the Western countries provoked, and then provoked again with escalation since befoe 2014, perhaps can be traced back to 2008. Russia's response and retaliation, if they had one, was always matching the provocation. Russia started using cluster munition only after Biden sent US cluster munition to Ukraine. The West used depleted Uranium ammo in Ukraine to pollute the soil. Russia attacked cargo ships containing DU ammo but did not use DU ammo themselves (Russian built nuclear reactors which can burn depleted Uranium). This time, Russia, for the first time in the long struggle since 2008, escalates first in terms of weapon usage, but not in the scope of attack. the city of Dnipropetrovsk had been attacked many times using other missiles, including other hypersonic missiles.
Yet, soon after this attack France immediately announced authorization for Ukraine to use the French version of StormShadow. However, this missile also depends on US technology to attack over the horizon. An actual attack can happen only with US military authorization. By convention, the French missiles are already in Ukraine and likely ready for deployment. In other words, as soon as the US gives authorization, the missile can be mounted onto a jet after programming. In a sense, Putin's newest "escalate to de-escalate" has failed. Do you think Russia would retaliate-in-kind or escalate again? So far it seems Russians don't do baby step escalation as the West, yet indeed there are not many steps to escalate.

Time will tell, I doubt it..
Putin is very patient.

and what would happen if Oreshnik also fell on the USA? I think, only on bases in the USA. How would Europe react?
can't reach here. Ocean is too big.
Hope that helps.
Cherish is the new love, be well.
May God nod towards thee & thine!

cheers from Slovakia ✨
What about Alaska?
Leave Alaska alone - just take out the 3 or 4 bases there. The people won't mind. Estranged Alaskan here !

The photo shows the possible consequences of using the most powerful weapon in the American arsenal at the moment - the B-83.
▪️In Moscow, according to experts, about 1.3 million people may die, and 3.7 million get injured
▪️1.5 million will die in Beijing, and 3.3 million will be injured.
▪️1.3 million people will die in Pyongyang, and 1.1 million will be injured.

The last statement Putin made, reflected how patient and controlled he has been.
I saw it as putin playing Chess, and Putin is good at chess.

So another MIRV inside Ukraine or outside of Ukraine ?
Let's hope inside. Where else could it be w out triggering Article 5? Scary times.
