Hello!

So….

What online commenters don’t know… which is understandable as Georgia isn’t a well documented place in international news…. is that the path toward the European Union has been worked for decades, since Georgia’s independence from the Soviet Union (Russia!).

Then….

“In March 2013, the Parliament of Georgia passed a bipartisan resolution supporting the integration into the European Union and NATO. The resolution was drafted jointly by the two largest political parties, Georgian Dream and United National Movement, and was voted by 96 deputies.”

Bipartisan… with Georgian Dream party, the current party in power.

After their new election, they SUSPENDED and put on “pause” the talks to further Georgia’s path toward the EU. So, imagine you voted for Georgian Dream, with the understanding of the constitution, of this path toward Europe, then they put it on ice. Why would they? And how can any citizen with a brain trust their government walking back the biggest political wish of the nation and think they genuinely just want to “re-visit it” down the line?

Georgia was nearly destroyed by Russia under Soviet rule / Communism. The people in Georgia don’t see the EU and the USA through rose tinted glasses, they hate the war crimes, the corruption, the list is endless, but they have to choose…. EU / USA or Russia !

You know the perfect argument against communism, is the classic “name one country where communism worked”. The same goes for EU vs Russia… name one Russia Aligned country you would prefer to live in over a European aligned country…. You won’t find one, all Russia aligned countries are places you don’t want to live…. What would you do as a citizen of Georgia when the EU is taken away from you after you democratically voted in parties that promised to continue upholding the constitution?

The mistake / blind spot people have online is thinking that this current government was voted in WITH the pause of EU membership on the ballot, but it’s the opposite. They WALKED BACK their own policy and that of the constitution, to continue the path toward EU membership.

The country is deeply Christian also, you see young people going to church, praying, it’s not a godless place that will lose its values… if anything it would add positive spirituality to the EU.

Anyway. So much more can be said but I think this is the most useful.

Lastly, this absurd “journalist” speaks fluent Russian… he’s not some independent American journo 😂 he hasn’t interviewed a single protester, he’s lied about who is attending, and he recently interviewed an ex KGB officer , I mean…. He’s a joke, hope you’re not paying subscription.

Any Qs let me know !

✌️❤️

Patrick, you are not an objective journalist. Your mission is to be pro Russian and say opposite from the western media. Why?
