Calling BS on any assertion that Trump acted within the bounds of his authority as authorized by the US Congressional War Powers Act of 1973. To wit:
The 1973 resolution was adopted in the form of a United States congressional joint resolution. It provides that the president can send the U.S. Armed Forces into action abroad only by declaration of war by Congress, "statutory authorization", or in case of "a national emergency created by an ATTACK upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces".
This is consistent with Article 51 of the UN Charter, the key phrase being that preemptive strikes are authorized if ATTACKED and there is no time to refer to UN Security Council for deliberation.
Trump is attempting to infer that he has such powers for preemptive strikes of there is a Threat to National Security; (which is bogus)
His actions clearly in violation of International Law, the U.S. Constitution, and were in fact a war of aggression..
Patrick! Take a read of this. Also not mainstream media, but has quotes from it amongst others. All in all, a realistic assessment of what happened. Now it all comes down to how Iran will respond.

That was a great sponsor. Actually useful! I deployed a small amount of capital after doing my own due diligence. Thanks!

"former U.S. President"? Might want to fix that. I was going to share this, but with that error I couldn't do so.
